I love all this Hope and Change the sheeple were talked into. Looks like all the millennials will need to spend a few more years in mommy's basement playing video games and waiting for their entitlements to come due. Even the students and young people are abandoning "Dear Leader". Tell you what, I will keep my freedom, guns and money, those who voted O in can keep the Change.

To your point Jimmy, if they could be locked into a 30 or 40 year Term life insurance policy at a very attractive rate, that would be a great benefit. However the blood sucking underwriters at the insurance companies specifically ask about dangerous occupations so perhaps firefighters, voluntary or not might be disqualified. For health insurance, when the dust settles on all of this, I would imagine that all the volunteer fireman would need to do, would be to unionize across the entire US, then they would have the nice exemptions that O has given to some of the other "special interest" groups. With this nationwide pool of "volunteers" someone will be glad to "provide" them with some "affordable" medical insurance. People are going to be in for the ride of their lives when Obamacare really kicks in. As mentioned previously, if Artie does his job right, he better be bringing in a lot more that $7,000 per year in fines. @$100 each that is only 70 citations, I could get 10 across the street from where I live right now and if he just follows people walking their dogs, he could get 3-4 out of 10 for not picking up their crap @ $100 each everyday. Perhaps the Patch would be a perfect forum for people to post their complaints, then cross them off as they are addressed, just might take that on as a pet project.
