Readers Choose Garden Cafe to Take Mom for Brunch

Garden Cafe wins Readers' Choice for favorite place to take mom for brunch in New Milford.

With 66% of the vote, New Milford readers soundly chose the Garden Cafe as the best place to take mom out for a Mother's Day brunch.  Lou Denis, owner of Wine & Roses, opened Garden Cafe to complete his vision of offering a comfortable gathering place for the community. A place where people can eat, meet and find out what's going on in town. A place where many residents turned after the nightmare of Irene had subsided to share their story and find some measure of comfort. "During Irene I was in the basement, water up to my shoulders, trying to corral my freezers that were floating like bath toys in the water," Denis recalls. TK, I agree with you 100%. Both Denis brothers are wonderful people and the Garden Cafe is my favorite spot in town. I just pray Lou is on my side with the development by the high school. His main concern was traffic with the house of worship parking lot expansion and I hope he feels the same about the load of traffic the United Water property would bring if developed.   more ›

I do not know why people like Biagio's in Paramus. It is definitely not an Italian restaurant by any means and the quality of food is absolutely awful. The last time I went there was for an office get together about 10 years ago. We said that we would never go back, and we have kept our promise. It is very overrated!   more ›
