Actors and actresses from around the county have helped make this production magical, says Director Larry Landsman.
It's opening night for the Bergen County Players' production of Meredith Willson's Tony Award winning play "The Music Man." "It's a beautiful production," said Director Larry Landsman, of Wyckoff. "There is no bigger undertaking than bringing "The Music Man," an American classic, to the stage." Saturday night's production is the culmination of four months of hard work, hundreds of hours of technical effort and plenty of dedication, Landsman said. "This is the biggest show we've ever put on our stage, some folks were wondering if we could even do this show," Landsman said. "It's truly been a team effort." David Howard, of Wyckoff, was arrested Monday afternoon and charged with attempted murder after mother and grandmother of Glen Rock children tackled Howard to the ground and held him until cops arrived, authorities say
Ramsey Police have charged a Wyckoff man with attempted murder after he allegedly tried to push two Glen Rock boys in front of a moving train at the Ramsey Main Street train station, Police Chief Bryan Gurney said Tuesday. David Howard, 48, was arrested Monday afternoon after allegedly grabbing two passengers waiting for the train and “moving them towards the train tracks while the train was still moving towards the station,” Gurney said. Howard was charged with attempted murder, kidnapping, aggravated assault and aggravated assault on a police officer, according to Ramsey Police. Chiefs annual hospital ‘toys for tots’ puts smiles on the faces of many sick children and their parents
“He’s magical,” three-year old Rebecca whispered to her mother when Santa Claus handed her a Barbie Princess doll as she sat cradled in her mother’s arms in Holy Name Medical Center. “Rebecca loves princesses,” her mother said overcome with emotion that unexpected kindness brings. “I am a princess,” Rebecca confidently countered.
