The New Milford Chamber of Commerce is seeking businesses to host one of their monthly meetings or 'Business After Hours' networking get-togethers. Chamber President, Lou Denis, and his wife Cathy, who serves as vice-president, have been busy building the Chamber into a well-established group of businessowners with a powerful, unified voice. The New Milford Board of Education will be holding a work session on Monday at 7pm in the Media Center at New Milford High School. The Nelson-Patterson Insurance Agency and the New Milford Chamber of Commerce will be sponsoring a Social Media Seminar with New Milford High School Principal, Eric Sheninger. Why travel when you can party in your own backyard?
The New Milford Chamber of Commerce is hosting a New Year's Eve Gala Monday, Dec. 31, at the Elks Lodge on Patrolman Ray Woods Lane from 9 pm to 2 am. There will be two live rock bands -- 3D Rock Band and That 60's Band. Hot Party DJ's will be the evening's disc jockeys. In addition to non-stop music, the evening includes a buffet dinner, hats and noisemakers, champagne toast, desserts and a continental breakfast. Tickets are $65 per person in advance, $75 each at the door. Support your local Chamber of Commerce while having a blast with your neighbors ringing in the New Year.

The threatening rain clouds did not keep Senator Robert Gordon, Assembly members Timothy Eustace and Connie Wagner, and Council members Hedy Grant and Austin Ashley from attending New Milford's Chamber of Commerce walk along River Road to meet and greet business owners. Among some of the businesses that the group visited were Jersey Boys, Chez Rosemary, Harvey's Appliance, Toros Turkish & Mediterranean Cuisine, New Milford Delicatessen, Verizon and Roman's. At each stop the representatives discussed the state of local businesses and how these business owners are weathering tough economic times. After Hours events gather New Milford's business community together in a casual setting.
The New Milford Chamber of Commerce hosted their monthly "After Hours" business networking series at the New Milford Swim Club Monday night. Under a setting sun, chamber members mingled with each other, ate, talked shop and exchanged business cards. Chamber President, Lou Denis, and his wife Cathy who serves as vice-president, have been busy building the Chamber into a well-established group of businessowners with a powerful, unified voice. Senator Robert Gordon talks budget to the members of the New Milford Chamber of Commerce.
Senator Robert Gordon attended last week's Chamber of Commerce event held at the offices of Century 21 in New Milford. Senator Gordon discussed the budget currently pending in Trenton and emphasized the importance of small businesses in contributing to the economic health of New Jersey.
