Planning Board Reappoints Board Attorney to Another One-Year Term
After considering three applicants, Board decides to reappoint Board Attorney, Richard Abrahamsen.
At January's reorganization of the Planning Board, the board decided to reissue RFQ's (request for qualification/quotation) for more candidates for the position of Board Attorney because there was only one submission for consideration. In order to do this, the Board authorized a 60-day extension to Richard Abrahamsen, who was initially appointed to the position of Board Attorney in January 2012. Abrahamsen is a partner in the Englewood Cliffs law firm Sekas & Abrahamsen. At Tuesday's meeting, Chairman Angelo DeCarlo said that there were three viable candidates: the law firm of Eric Bernstein and Associates from Warren, New Jersey; Zoning Board Attorney Scott Sproviero; and Abrahamsen. Abrahamsen was hired for a year and almost let go? Confused about this article. Why was the 60 day extension given and then he was appointed? Seems like they didn't really want to keep him, why?   more ›
