Van Saun Park Zoo Needs Volunteers

Animal Encounters Program seeks volunteers to bring small zoo animals to visit local nursing home/long-term care facility

The Education Department at the Van Saun Park County Zoo is looking for people to volunteer to bring small zoo animals on monthly visits to residents in nursing homes and long-term care facilities.

You must be 18 or older; no prior experience is necessary. Training will be provided by the zoo.

If you are interested in learning more about volunteering for this program, there will be an information session on Friday, January 20th at 11 a.m. at the zoo in the Education/Discovery Center (the first building on the right once you are inside the zoo).
