Local Business Donates to Eagle Scout Project

 in New Milford recently donated several vegetables and other plantings for the Oradell Community Gardens in support of an Eagle Scout project.

In early June, Oradell Troop 36 Life Scout Michael Shuler with the help of his fellow scouts, leaders and and other volunteers built three raised gardens near the Oradell Swim Club as part of his . Those gardens are now officially open to the public following a ribbon cutting ceremony on July 21.

Shuler was joined by his family, members of the Oradell Environmental Committee, Council President Joseph Murray Jr., and Councilman Michael Harte during the ceremony.

The three raised gardens feature a variety of peppers and tomatoes, marigolds and zucchini that even in the blistering heat have been thriving.

These gardens will benefit the community by giving Oradell residents a place to take care of flowers and vegetables or just to take a stroll by and admire them.
