Friends of the New Milford Library Looking to Make New Friends

Organization is looking for new members

If you've picked up a copy of the Twin Boro at the library recently, then you know that the Friends of the New Milford Public Library are looking for new members. With each copy of the newspaper comes a brochure inviting borough residents to join or contribute to the organization.

The Friends are comprised of volunteers who donate their money, time or both to help improve the offerings and programs at the New Milford Library.

"In the past year, contributions gained through raffles, our annual book sale and especially membership dues have paid for a subscription to Bookpage, which publicizes new book releases, a film license permitting the library to show lunchtime movies, a performance by the All Seasons Chamber Players, and refreshments at various library events," said Craig Scott, who is a member of the Friends, in their brochure.

Members can join for as little as $10.
