Center For Food Action Needs Donations

CFA seeking help during "slow season"

The Center for Food Action is seeking donations of various food items this summer as this time of the year is the organization’s “slow season.”

The organization, founded in 1976, provides needy local families with food packages, counseling and advocacy in its quest to end hunger and homelessness. The CFA has five locations in Bergen and Passaic counties, with the site in Englewood serving as its headquarters.

According to the group’s website, though funded by both government and private grants, the CFA depends upon food donations from the community to distribute food packages to families in need.
