Super Bowl Media Day Showcases Players, Gives Fans Rare Up-Close View

Some tickets still available as players face questions from media Tuesday at Newark's Prudential Center.

Dozens of tickets remained Monday afternoon for the Super Bowl media day at the Prudential Center in Newark on Tuesday.

Before the Vince Lombardi Trophy is handed out Sunday night at MetLife Stadium, the AFC champion Denver Broncos and NFC champion Seattle Seahawks will meet with the media starting at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.

For the third time in history, the NFL is selling tickets to fans for media day. Tickets are sold out through Ticketmaster but can be purchased second hand from Stub Hub. There were dozens of tickets available for $30 or less as of Monday afternoon. Doors open to the public at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Fans in attendance will receive a gift bag filled with a radio that will allow folks to listen to the NFL Network’s station and listen to some of the individual player interviews.

"Newark's Largest Indoor Tailgate Party" will be held following media day at 2 p.m. at Newark Museum where the Lombardi trophy will be on display.

Not Just Football

New Jersey is proud to host the first northeast Super Bowl, and some of the state's most well-known celebrities will embrace the fanfare Tuesday.

Stationed less than a block from the Prudential Center, the New Jersey Hall of Fame Mobile Museum—a double-wide expandable trailer—will be available for fans to visit and meet some of the 2013 inductees.

Joe Piscopo and Dionne Warwick will be two of the members on hand, the report said, along with former New York Giants player Bart Oates, who also serves as president of the New York and New Jersey Chapter of the NFL Alumni Association and the Hall of Fame Commission.

The mobile museum will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
