Knights Trounce Saddle Brook, Qualify for NJSIAA Playoffs

The New Milford Knights may have salvaged their season after putting a 42-20 beating on Saddle Brook in their final home game of the season of Friday.

The win secured the Knights a spot in the NJSIAA playoff tournament. New Milford finished the regular season sixth in their group and their seeding in the tournament corresponds with that ranking. 

The Knights kick off their postseason play with a road game against Pompton Lakes, third ranked in the group, on Saturday afternoon.

Pompton Lakes has an intimidating record of 7-1, to New Milford’s 6-3, and the Knights suffered their worst loss of the season, a 49-14 thumping, at the hands of Pompton Lakes last month.
