State Releases School Violence, Vandalism Report

Officials from the New Jersey Department of Education released Thursday the 2012-13 school year Violence, Vandalism and Substance Abuse in the Schools Report.
New Milford had 2,051 enrolled students with only 14 incidents of violence, two incidents of vandalism, zero incidents with weapons, two incidents with substances and 6 HIB for a total of 24 incidents.
Across Bergen County, there were 71,018 students with 669 incidents of violence, 111 incidents of vandalism, 67 incidents with weapons, 185 incidents with substances and 402 HIB for a total of 1,400 incidents. No Bergen districts were among the nine most violent in the state.
