NMHS Students To Host Sandy Clothing Drive

NMHS students who were part of the 'Rebuild Hurricane Katrina' trip are hosting clothing drive for victims of Hurricane Sandy.

Students from New Milford High School who participated in a "Rebuilding New Orleans" trip this summer have organized a food and clothing drive to benefit the victims of hurricane Sandy.

This drive will take place in the parking lot of NMHS at the gym wing Friday morning, Nov. 2nd from 9am to 12pm. In addition to food and clothing, they are also in need of boxes to package the donations.

The trip to New Orleans was the brainchild of first year social studies teacher at David E. Owens Middle School, Ray Cottiers, (NMHS 2004) who wanted to inspire his students by providing them with an opportunity that would positively and permanently influence their lives. An experience similar in scope to Colleen Tambuscio's annual Holocaust trip.
