The New Milford Board of Education kicked-off their 2014 meeting schedule when they held a reorganization meeting and work session on Monday evening at New Milford High School.
John Bigger, Christopher Ryan and Judith Rabinowitz-McSweeney were elected to three-year terms on the New Milford Board of Education and Christine Ginacola was elected a two-year unexpired term.
Board Secretary Michael Sawicz administered the oath of office to the four members elected on Nov. 5.
“We’re entering the year with a lot of momentum,” said Superintendent Michael Polizzi. “Particularly with some of our personnel decisions and professional development. [Monday] again, we had teachers involved with professional development. That continuity continues and there is momentum that comes with that. We’re excited about having a great year.”
The Board of Education meets for their first regularly scheduled work session on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
