Sutton Place Tennis Courts to be Completed This Spring

The courts are in Tom Baeli Park across from B.F. Gibbs School

The latest additions to the borough's recreation facilities are taking shape on Sutton Place across from B.F. Gibbs School. The area, technically known as Tom Baeli Park, will feature two brand new tennis courts for use by borough residents.

"It is being funded through a Bergen County Open Space grant and a matching amount of borough funds from our open space trust account," said Borough Administrator Christine Demiris.

Demiris said there will be two courts, both of which will require a key for access.

"The key can be obtained through the Borough Clerk’s office for $5," said Demiris. "You must be a borough resident and provide a valid driver’s license to obtain the key."

Demiris said the key also provides access to the courts behind Borough Hall.  If someone currently has a key to the existing courts, they will be able to access the Sutton Place Tennis Courts.

"I would expect them to be fully operational by the end of the spring," said Demiris. "The work will continue when the weather improves and it will require a couple of weeks to cure."
