Mayor & Council, Planning and Zoning Board Meetings This Week In New Milford

There is as public meeting of the Mayor and Council Monday at 7:45 pm in the council chambers of Borough Hall. The public session is preceded by a work session beginning at 7 pm in the upstairs conference room at Borough Hall.

One of the items on the agenda for the open portion of the work session is the discussion of recycling issues. Residents have raised concerns about recycling not being picked up on the appointed day.  

On the public meeting agenda is the approval of refunds for 2012 property tax overpayments as a result of the County Board judgment, authorize the Mayor to sign the public health shared services agreement for 2013 and request the NJ State Legislature and DEP to take action concerning flood hazard areas and floodways.

The Planning Board will be meeting on Tuesday at 7:30 pm in the council chambers of Borough Hall. On the agenda is a subdivision on Milford Ave. and on Kastler Court.

The Shade Tree Commission will be meeting Wednesday at 7 pm in the upstairs conference room at Borough Hall. During the last meeting of the Zoning Board, the removal of trees by Hekemian in order to widen the part of River Road in front of the proposed the development was discussed.

There will be NO special meeting of the Zoning Board of Adjustment on Thursday November 29. The next meeting of the Zoning Board will be on Tuesday, Dec. 11 at 7 pm.
