Mayor and Council Work Session, Zoning Board This Week in New Milford

A look at what's going on in New Milford this week.

There will be a Mayor and Council work session Monday at 7 pm in the upstairs conference room of Borough Hall. The public is invited to attend the open portion of the work session. In the open session, the council will be discussing the Police Department's Needs Assessment, a recap of the meeting with Bergen County Open Space regarding farms in the borough, the Budget Committee report and more.  

On the agenda for closed session (which the public is not permitted to attend) is discussion of the pending lawsuit that Councilwoman Hedy Grant filed against Councilman Austin Ashley; Lori Charkey from Bergen Swan is scheduled to meet with the Mayor and Council; and personnel matters.

There will be a regular meeting of the Zoning Board of Adjustment on Tuesday beginning at 7pm with a work session in the Council Chambers of Borough Hall. The meeting will follow the work session. 

In addition to the continuation of the hearing on the development of the United Water property, the Board will be hearing some new business. One is an application for a three story 14 unit multiple dwelling with parking under building at 391 Madison Avenue. Variance being sought are use, building coverage, front yard and height.

Also on Tuesday, the New Milford Historic Preservation Commission will be meeting at 7 pm in the upstairs conference room in Borough Hall.
