Mayor and Council Combined Work Session and Public Meeting Monday

Appointments, resolutions and ordinances to be voted on during the combined work session and open public meeting.

The New Milford Mayor and Council will be holding a combined work session and open public meeting Monday. The work session will begin at 7 p.m. in the second floor conference room at Borough Hall immediately followed by the open public meeting at 7:45 p.m. in the Council Chambers.  

Items on the agenda for the work session include: 

  • Sanzari’s – Performance Bond Request 
  • Professional invoices
  • Hazard Mitigation Application
  • Flood Advisory Council
  • Property maintenance
Items on the agenda for the open public meeting include a public hearing on the Bergen County Open Space application and the final phase of the Recreation Field improvement. 

Also on the agenda is the adoption of an ordinance authorizing the issuance of $210,000 in bonds to fund improvements to Boulevard from Hoffman Ave. to Monmouth Ave., and Monmouth Ave. from Boulevard to Plympton St. 

Resolutions include the approval of hiring Ryan Tuck as a full-time laborer in the DPW and the hiring of David Mielnicki as a seasonal laborer in the DPW. 

The Council will also vote on the appointments of Marlene Slavin and Pat Coogan to the Board of Health and Gerard Rasulo to the Planning Board as an alternate.
