Patch Whiz Kids of the Week: Pack 78 Bear and Wolf Scouts
Accomplishments: The Bears and Wolves from Pack 78 visited the New Milford Volunteer Ambulance Corp recently to go over first aid techniques and talk about emergency preparedness. The scouts reviewed what they should do if faced with a number of different scenarios such as a fire, being in a car or school bus accident, falling into a body of water either from the bank of a lake or in a capsized boat and what to do after falling down a flight of stairs or off a ladder.
Through role play, the Bears demonstrated what should be done in these situations. NMVAC members Audrey Schrader and Joseph MacDiarmid answered questions and gave the boys valuable life lessons.

Whiz Kids' Keys to Awesomeness: "They learned a lesson in staying safe, and how to help in a situation, rather than becoming part of the problem," said Danielle LoPorto, Cubmaster of Pack 78.
