UPDATE: Four Men Sought in Teaneck Road Rage Attack

Hackensack man beat up, hit with a piece of a cinder block early Sunday, police say.

Teaneck police are searching for four men who beat a motorist before one of the attackers stole his minivan in a road rage attack early Sunday, authorities said.

The 44-year-old Hackensack minivan driver was at a traffic light around 5:15 a.m. at Queen Anne Road and Cedar Lane when an argument broke out with four men in a gray vehicle, according to police. Three of the assailants punched and kicked the man then hit him with a piece of a cinder block.

A fourth man took off in the minivan while others fled in their car, police said. The Chrysler minivan was found dumped nearby at 320 Cedar Lane.

The victim told police the attackers might have been angry over the minivan following too closely behind their car on Cedar Lane, Detective Lt. Andrew McGurr said Tuesday.

The Teaneck Volunteer Ambulance Corps treated the man for injuries to his head, knees and face, but he declined further medical attention, McGurr said.
