Toddler Left Behind in Motel by a New Milford Couple
A 16-month old was left behind in a South Hackensack motel room by a New Milford couple Wednesday morning.
A New Milford couple has been charged with child endangerment for leaving a 16-month-old girl alone in a motel room Wednesday morning, police said.
According to northjersey.com, the couple left the room at 10:45 a.m. and after checkout time, an employee knocked on the door and eventually entered the room finding the child in a stroller.
Shannon McDevitt, 30, and Timothy Kerr, 27, had stayed in the room for a week and the child was found in a wet diaper that soaked through her pajamas, the Record reported.

The child was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center.
