River Road Re-Opened After Water Main Leak Fixed

Water main leak repaired after closing River Road for most of Thursday.

The water main break that kept River Road, just south of Madison Avenue, closed for most of Thursday, has been repaired and the road is back open.

The leak was spotted earlier Wednesday when motorists notice significant icing, which was not a result of any precipitation, on the busy section of River Road.

Representatives from United Water found the source of the leak and began work to repair it Thursday morning, which forced a road closure at approximately 9 a.m.
