A Hawthorne woman is facing child endangerment charges after police say she left her 1-year-old son alone in a stroller that was also carrying bottles of alcohol, nj.com reported.

According to the report, police say Ashley Scola, 26, was drunk when witnesses saw her leave her baby outside a Dairy Queen in New Milford before 8 p.m. last Wednesday. He was outside for about five minutes before she brought him into the Golden China Restaurant, the report said.

When cops responded to the scene, they found Scola “highly intoxicated,” the report said. Police also say they found three empty beer cans and a sealed vodka bottle in bags stored in various parts of the baby’s stroller, the report said.
