NMPD Capture Aggressive Raccoon

captured an aggressive raccoon on Center Street at approximately 10:30pm Friday evening. 

Chief of Police Frank Papapietro said it cannot be determined if this is the same .

The animal was turned over to Bergen County Animal Control for testing, Papapietro said.

The resident attacked by the raccoon has not been hospitalized, but is receiving appropriate medical attention for animal bites, Papapietro said.

"Residents are once again advised to avoid contact with wild animals and report those with aggressive behavior immediately to NMPD," Papapietro said.
