NMFD Company No. 2 Kicks Off Annual Fund Drive

The 2011 Annual Fund Drive is in full swing at New Milford Fire Company No. 2 on Trenton Street.

The money raised is used for a variety of purposes by the department.

"We use the monies for various activities, including but not limited to community events, social/teambuilding activities, meetings, public fire education, group educational functions, training and general public awareness," said Angelo DeCarlo, the chair of the annual fund drive.

DeCarlo said they wanted to thank those residents who have already responded to the drive and made a donation to the company. 

"For those who may have misplaced the envelope and return card, donations can now be sent via PayPal," said DeCarlo. For further information, visit their website www.newmilfordfire.org.

"New members are also needed," DeCarlo said. "Visit our firehouse at 680 Trenton Street any Tuesday or Thursday evening to learn more about how you can become a member."
