New Milford Fire Department Hosts Fire Awareness Night
Ride a fire truck, crawl through a smoke house, and adopt-a-hydrant
The rain held out just long enough to allow residents to enjoy Fire Awareness Night that took place last night behind Borough Hall. The fire department invited all the little firefighters in town to take a ride on a fire truck, get a lift on an aerial ladder and take a crawl through a smokehouse to understand the job of a firefighter. Residents also had the opportunity to adopt a fire hydrant through the fire department's "Adopt-a-Hydrant" program. If you're interested in adopting a fire hydrant, call Fire Marshall Alan Silverman at Borough Hall.
