Flood Watch for Bergen County Cancelled

Bergen County OEM is reporting that the storm has shifted its weight outside of Bergen County.

The track of the storm has shifted north with the heaviest rain falling north and south of Bergen County, leaving our local area with less rain than previously forecasted, Chief Frank Papapietro said.

"Because the weight of the storm has shifted away from our area, Bergen County Office of Emergency Management is cancelling the flood watch for the entire local area with this afternoon’s forecast update," Papapietro said.

Despite the changed forecast, Mayor Ann Subrizi said that she is still monitoring the river with the next high tide scheduled for 2 a.m. Friday.
