Images have been released of the amount of loot an alleged cat burglar made off with earlier this month from a New Milford home while the residents were asleep.

Paramus Police identified the alleged intruder as someone they had arrested on New Year's Eve, leading to his apprehension on the burglary charges.

Chris Connolly, 35, was charged with burglary, theft, receiving stolen property, credit card theft, theft of legal documents, possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

“It takes a heightened level of desperation to break into an occupied residence, which makes this type of criminal especially dangerous.” New Milford Police Chief Frank Papapietro said.

In the photo of property allegedly recovered from Connolly's possession, provided by New Milford Police, are three laptops, four wallets, multiple passports and forms of identification, jewelry, a GPS device, a camcorder and about a half dozen various trinkets.
