Crash Investigation Blocks Section of Route 4 in Teaneck

A section of Route 4 near Teaneck Road was closed early Saturday as authorities investigated an accident in the highway’s eastbound lanes, according to the state transportation department.
The Department of Transportation website reported an accident with injuries around 4 a.m., near Teaneck Road. About three hours later, a heavily damaged car off the highway remained at the scene between Eastlawn Drive and Teaneck Road.
An investigator from the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office was seen taking photos near the crash site and the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Fatal Accident Investigation Unit was at the scene.
The highway’s westbound lanes were open.
