UW property issue finally going to court

Just found out last week that the Hekemian builders law firm did file their lawsuit back in June some time. (so much for news sources).

Well, at least every aspect has been spoken about, argued over, town workers humiliated, and friendships lost because of it.

As far as I can see, the builders have done their homework, have experienced something like 17 or 18 suits such as this and apparently won 17 of  them.

It could be me, but IMO, the aftermath of this debacle is  - -  IF - -  the judge denies Hekemian's suit, the residents of the flood zone will still ALWAYS flood, we the taxpayers will have to pay for the litigation and what will be accomplished? 24 new homes will be the only construction allowed AND if I may commit rhetoric - the residents of the flood zone will ALWAYS be flooded.

Whereas - IF - the judge rules in the favor of Hekemian, at least there is a ChancE that the flood victims will benefit from some remediation based on the article in the Twin Boro from Hekemian's attorneys.
Hopefully - the case will not take too long.

At least either way, the area will not have the 221 apartments - that the Democrats had originally hoped for and for which SO MANY objected!

what it morphed into......well, you make your own mind up.

OMT, here's a picture of what the flood victims and the area itself will ALWAYS be subjected to - IF Hekemian is denied.
at least with Hekemian, his filing papers promised remediation.
