Thank you New Milford

Thank you New Milford for allowing me to serve you.

I’ve written many letters over the past few weeks and this is not one I thought I would be writing, but I offer my congratulations to Michael Putrino and Austin Ashley for their victory on Election night during the New Milford Town Council elections.  During the campaign, we agreed on the biggest issue, the purchase of the water company property and its use for community purposes and I am committed to helping see that happen.

Win or lose, there are many people that helped move the campaign forward and it’s important to recognize them.  Certainly, I want to start with my family.  I spent the last 10 weeks campaigning seven days a week and without their cooperation, I would not have come this far.  Thank you to my running mate, Peter Rebsch for, during those 10 weeks, I likely spent more time with you than my family.  Thank you to Celeste Scavetta, the municipal chair for the New Milford Republican County Committee.  Your efforts to organize and get committee members into action was fabulous.  Thank you to Donna Colucci who always steps up when needed.  Thank you to Diego Robalino who was my
treasurer, a task no one ever wants to do.  There are people who hosted events for me, such as front yard barbeques and invited me to speak at social gatherings; there are people who gave me moral support and there are many people who allowed us to post our lawn signs and I thank all of you.  In your own way, your help was invaluable.

My service to New Milford started nearly 10 years ago and does not end here.  I do not know what’s next but I do know I will continue to serve the community.  Thank you to the residents of New Milford.  I always served at your pleasure.
