Three Jersey Boys in Under Armor All-American Game

Less than a month after helping Paramus Catholic earn their second consecutive NJSIAA State Championship, Jabrill Peppers is already back in action as a stud cornerback and the center of attention.

Peppers, still ranked as a 5-star recruit and No. 1 at the cornerback position, has been selected to participate in the 2014 Under Armor All-American Game scheduled for Jan. 2.

Practices for the game started over the weekend and brought top prospects from all over the country together. Ermon Lane is the nation's No. 2 ranked wide receiver and has been lining up across from Peppers in practice and sounded impressed by his ability to play defensive back.

According to a report by gatorcountry.com, Peppers is probably the biggest talker at the Under Armor All-American Game, but can back it up.

“It’s good going up against [Peppers] because you’re getting better on each play,” said Lane in the report.

Peppers didn’t travel to Florida, the site of the game, alone. Juwann Bushell-Beatty, also of Paramus Catholic, was also selected to play in the game. Bushell-Beatty is the No. 10 ranked offensive tackle in the country. Bushell-Beatty, like Peppers, is currently committed to Michigan.

Andrew Trumbetti, of Demarest High School, the nation's No. 12 ranked defensive end, is also in Florida for the spotlight game. Trumbetti is currently committed to Notre Dame.
