Raffle and Gala to Celebrate Les Paul

The Mahwah Museum announces a raffle of three amazing guitars autographed by Les Paul, the legendary guitarist and inventor. The winning tickets will be drawn at 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at the Trustees Pavilion at Ramapo College at a gala celebration of what would have been Les Paul’s 99th
birthday.

First prize is a Gibson “Traditional” Les Paul 120th Anniversary Guitar, Reddish Maple Sunburst, with pick guard autographed by Les Paul. Second prize is a Gibson “Traditional” Les Paul Guitar Maple Sunburst, with pick guard autographed by Les Paul, and third prize is a Fender Squire Bullet Strat Guitar Maple Sunburst, autographed by James Taylor on the body.

Raffle tickets are $25.00 each and can be purchased at the Mahwah Museum, 201 Franklin Turnpike, open Wednesdays and weekends from 1-4 p.m. Tickets are also available at Devon Fine Jewelry (303 Franklin Ave., Wyckoff). Visit www.mahwahmuseum.org to order tickets by mail.

The 99th Birthday Gala, to be held at the Trustees Pavilion at Ramapo College at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday June 14, will feature wine, hors d’oeuvres and light fare, musical entertainment featuring Bucky Pizzarelli, Lou Pallo and others. A live auction of other autographed guitars and a silent auction of music memorabilia will be held. Gala tickets are $25.00 and are available at the museum and through the museum web site.

The Mahwah Museum is currently featuring an exhibit on the Neighborhoods of Mahwah, as well as the permanent Les Paul exhibit and the Donald Cooper Model Railroad. The Museum is open weekends and Wednesdays from 1-4 p.m. until June; the Donald Cooper Model Railroad is open weekends from 1-4 p.m. For more information, visit www.mahwahmuseum.org or call 201-512-0099.
