Planning Board Meeting and Easter Egg Hunt Coming This Week

Here's a sneak peek of what's coming up in New Milford this week

MONDAY: The Board of Education will be holding its regular session at 7pm in the Media Center of New Milford High School.  

TUESDAY: The Planning Board meets at 7:30pm at Borough Hall.

WEDNESDAY: The next Chamber of Commerce Meeting will be held from 8-9am at the Garden Cafe on Henley Avenue.

THURSDAY: High School students present their spring musical "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" today through Saturday, 8pm in the school auditorium. Tickets are $15 (adult) or $10 (student) at the door. Special guest spellers will include Police Chief Frank Pappapietro (March 21), Mayor Ann Subrizi and HS Principal Eric Sheninger (March 22), Superintendent Michal Polizzi and Principals from DEO Middle School, Berkley School and Gibbs School (March 23).

THE WEEKEND: The annual borough Easter Egg Hunt starts at 10am behind borough hall. on Saturday. In case of rain, the event will be held on March 30. The Hunt is open to all children up to 5th grade and parents should provide their own baskets.

Bring your camera and take a picture with the Easter Bunny at the New Milford Lions Club annual pancake breakfast on Sunday, 8am to 12pm in the New Milford High School cafeteria. Tickets are $5 for adults, $4 for senior citizens and $4 for children (under 12) and includes all-you-can-eat pancakes, sausage, crumb cake, coffee and orange juice. Children can meet the Easter Bunny and get a goody bag. All proceeds will benefit the New Milford Lions Club, a community service organization which is dedicated to local scholarships, local service projects as well as an international appeal to combat preventable blindness.
