Borough advises residents to use caution when outside

Police Chief Frank Papapietro said that there are 3,000 residents currently without power and advises that residents practice caution when outside.  He also asked that all non-essential traffic be avoided.

"There are many downed wires and trees throughout the borough. We ask that everyone be careful if they're outside," he said.

The latest Public Service report estimates that most power should be restored by Wednesday. About 271,000 of its customers were experiencing outages statewide.
