UPDATE: Teaneck IHOP Expected to Stay Open

Deal being worked out to keep the franchise on Cedar Lane, company spokesman says.

An IHOP spokesman now says the Cedar Lane pancake house is expected to stay open and the company is working out a deal to secure a franchise owner for the location.

Company spokesman Craig Hoffman initially told Patch the store would close "sooner rather than later," but said later on Wednesday the company was in the process of securing a franchise owner for the Teaneck location.

"We do not expect our store to close," Hoffman said Wednesday evening in a reversal of an earlier statement.
