New Milford Location for Independent Film

'Clandestine' takes to the streets of New Milford to film.

Feenix Films, an independent film company based in Ramsey, filmed a home invasion scene in New Milford this weekend for their latest project "Clandestine."

The film, written by Kate A. McGrath, directed by David LaRosa, and produced by Nick DeMatteo and Janine Laino, focuses on the battle to stop the spread of crystal meth into American suburbs, based on real cases McGrath's father worked as a police office in New York.

Yesterday, the New Milford home of Chris Ryan, who acts in and has served as a co-producer on the project, served as a Long Island home suspected of being a meth lab. In addition to the cast, a group of law enforcement professionals who moonlight as SWAT team actors descended on the home in intense, dramatic fashion.

According to Ryan, the New Milford Police Department visited the set to ensure that no live guns were used, no firearms were discharged, no real violence was enacted on the streets, and that the neighbors were kept informed.
