NJ Peace Action's 55th Annual Dinner featuring James "Yusuf" Yee!

New Jersey Peace Action will host its 55th anniversary dinner on Sunday, April 29th, at the Regency House, 140 Route 23 North, in North Pompton Plains, New Jersey. NJ Peace Action is working to end torture, close Guantanamo Bay Prison, and stand up for the civil liberties of all, including the Muslim community. As part of this campaign, Captain James “Yusuf” Yee will speak on “9/11 & Guantanamo: The Struggle for Justice Ten Years Later.”

Captain Yee served as the Muslim Chaplain for the U.S. Prison camp in Guantanamo Bay, was imprisoned and falsely accused of aiding alleged Taliban and Al-Qaeda prisoners. All charges were later dropped, and Captain Yee was fully reinstated, but tendered his resignation from the U.S. Army, receiving an Honorable Discharge.
