New Milford Patch has a new face around town: a permanent editor.
My colleagues have done a fantastic job and have brought me up to speed on all the exciting things going on in New Milford.
So just who exactly is this new editor, you ask?
Well, I started working with Patch back in August of 2010. I’ve worked all over Westchester and Rockland counties in New York, covering anything and everything going on in my communities. At the same time I was managing an after-school program for K-5 children at Liberty Elementary in Valley Cottage, NY.
I was born and raised in New York before attending college at the University of Missouri, which was a better experience than I ever could have asked for.
I’ve met some of you over the last few weeks but I look forward to meeting and working with many more of you in the near future. If you see me around town, at a meeting, sporting event or working in a coffee shop, please don’t hesitate to say hello, share a news tip or ask a question.
My goal is to lead the news conversation in New Milford, not to dominate it. I want to hear from all of you. I can set you up to write a blog that will run on site in minutes and she’s all yours. Whether you’re into sports, school news, local politics or local business, it doesn’t matter; I am looking for local voices and opinions that I know many of you would be willing to share.
If you’re at an event in town, snap a few photos on your phone and text me at 973-951-2496. If there is something you want to know more about or if you have a news tip, email me Rob.Heinemann@Patch.com.
I’ll be working at the Dunkin Donuts on River Road from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Monday. Stop in and say hello.
Your New Editor,
