Local Weather Related Closures and Postponements

See what's been closed or rescheduled in New Milford due to snow.

Heavy snowfall has been responsible for a number of local closures Tuesday afternoon. A winter storm warning is in effect through early Wednesday morning. 

Bergen Community College cancelled all classes, activities and events after 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday. This includes the BCC Alumni event scheduled for Tuesday evening. Classes, activities and events will resume as scheduled after 6 p.m. on Wednesday. 

New Milford high school has cancelled several after school events, check with the school to make sure your activitiy is still on as scheduled, but school is, as of 12:30 p.m. expected to run through 3 p.m. for a full day.

The Environmental Commission scheduled a special meeting for Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. which has now been rescheduled for Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m. in the second floor meeting room of Borough Hall.

Borough officials ask that you please call 201-967-5044 before heading to Borough Hall for any business matters as select departments could be closing early. A tentative closing time of 3 p.m. has been posted but different departments may stay open longer or close earlier.

The roads are really slick out there and it's going to get worse. Be safe everyone and don't forget to help you're neighbors, especially your elderly ones, shoveling snow.
