Relay for Life of New Milford if a fun-filled overnight experience designed to bring together those who have been touched by cancer. It is a celebration of survivors and caregivers and Relay also helps to raise money and awarenss to support the American Cancer society in its lifesaving mission to eliminate cancer.

One of two borough elementary schools, Gibbs Elementary School is located on a quiet residential street across from a small park. At the rear of the school are athletic fields used by the borough's recreation leagues.
