Although the choice of the musical changes, the tradition of set building Saturday stands unchanged.

This year, the cast, crew, family, friends and volunteers once again gathered in New Milford High School's James Africano Auditorium to begin building the set for this year's performance of "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee."

Many thanks to Christopher Costa for photographing this event. The tradition of set-build Saturday happens to be one of my most favorite days of the year -- actors from the show, crew members, teachers, and volunteer fathers all come together to make the idea in my head a reality. The word "inspiring" doesn't do the day justice.

Come see THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE at New Milford High School in the James Africano Auditorium March 21, 22, and 23 at 8pm!

THIS is what New Milford is all about! Everyone comes together and voila! Magic! Current students, graduates, current teachers, retired teachers, current parents and parents of graduates all help to create this set. Year after year, many of the same people return, even though their kids have graduated or they no longer teach here. We ARE a unique community. And our Spring musical is NOT your typical high school show. Please purchase tickets for this show. I GUARANTEE you will be VERY impressed!!
