Power Goes Out at Riverside Mall

Area outages reported as winter storm moves in

 

The Shops at Riverside in Hackensack lost power Wednesday afternoon, according to a message from the mall. 

Bloomingdale's was running on an emergency generator, an automated message on the mall's phone line said around 3 p.m. In a post on Facebook, the mail said it was working with PSE&G to get service restored. 

A utility company spokeswoman had no information on the outage. Outages were also reported around Hackensack, but PSE&G could not confirm the reports. 

The region was beginning to feel the impacts of Winter Storm Athena, which forecasts say could bring rain, snow and high winds through Thursday.
