Angel, a female pit bull terrier, is such a sweet girl who has had a sad life but is ready for her forever home. Her story is one of survival and admiration as she has a great spirit and has had the ability to trust in those who caused her suffering. This 5-6 year old was emaciated and bruised when she was found. With the help of her wonderful and caring foster family, she was able to recover and give birth to 7 healthy and beautiful pit bull puppies. All her puppies have found their new homes but Angel is still waiting. . Her love of humans and the need for companionship, makes her one of te most affectionate adoptable dogs at the shelter. Unfortunately, Angel would prefer to be the only love of your life so we are looking for a home that will take her as their only pet. The shelter will make sure she gets a home where she is not only treated with the utmost TLC, but with a family who will help her realize there is good in this world and that will remind her why she never gave up on human love. Size is not an issue for this gentle giant. Otto, an American Bulldog, came to the shelter as a stray and is such a delight to have. A wonderful temperament, this goofy fellow will make a great companion for any family looking for a large mush. Because he is young and full of life, he will need plenty of physical and mental stimulation. A social butterfly, this pooch is eager and happy to meet anyone who crosses his path. He deserves a home that is willing to overlook his size and provide him with a stable lifestyle with plenty of exercise, training and let's not forget, TLC.
Lucas, an 8-year old Bichon Frise, is a happy fella that came in because his owners could no longer afford veterinary care for him. He and his canine sibling came in with some minimal skin issues but the medical staff has now cleared both dogs for adoption. Silly and fun, Lucas is social but can be quite content to be on his own. His canine sibling Lizette, a 9-year old Maltese Mix, is also full of life and vigor and ready to explore the world.
Banana Split is a wonderful kitty. She is super sweet and very friendly. Banana Split came to the shelter back in April with a litter of kittens. Her babies are done nursing and now she is looking for a home. She will be spayed before leaving the shelter.
Elsie is a very sweet girl. She is very petite and enjoys playing with all of her cat toys. She is less than one year old and very sweet. Elsie will be spayed before leaving the shelter.

I fostered Angel, she is a gentle soul. What she needs is a quiet couple or single person to just hang out with. She will be very loyal and just lay right next to you. She is still working on having patients for other dogs, and should not be in a home with cats. Angel deserves to have second chance in life, to have the second half of her life be filled with lots of love. I would be happy to help anyone who adopts her help her get settled in.

Everytime I hear about a pitbull attacking a person, someone will always say "Well, the dog wasn't trained properly." What is it about pitbulls that they have to be trained to NOT attack people? You never hear about cocker spaniels attacking people. Or border collies. Or basset hounds. What up with these pitbulls?
