The Leaning Forward Foundation has chosen New Milford High School Principal Eric Sheninger as the recipient of the Excellence in Professional Learning Practice Award.

The Learning Forward Foundation is dedicated to impacting the future of leadership in schools that act on the belief that continuous learning by educators is essential to improving the achievement of all students. Learning Forward's mission is that every educator engages in effective professional learning every day so every student achieves.

The award honors two individuals, one district-level and one school-level, for their implementation and portrayal of Learning Forward’s purpose, definition, and standards for professional learning.
