Borough officials confirmed that all New Milford Public Schools and the public library will again be closed on Tuesday due to power outages and dangerous conditions. The school grounds also need to be cleared of large limbs and downed trees. As of late Sunday afternoon, two very large tree limbs downed by the storm outside of DEO Middle School were dangerously resting on top of power lines.

About 271,000 PSE&G customers were without power as of late Sunday morning, the company previously said in a statement. The utility estimated many would not have power until possibly Wednesday, but workers mobilized quickly.

As of Monday morning approximately 3000 residences and businesses in New Milford were still without power.

They are going to get to all the effected areas as soon as they can. Just be careful when driving around, there are trees on wires in many places in town and they are dangerous.

Does anyone know when they will make a decision about tomorrow (Wed Nov 1st)? I am a working parent trying to make plans for my children.
