Ruby is a 3 legged calico cat, about 3 to 4-years old. A Good Samaritan brought to the Oradell Animal Hospital with a serious injury to one of her rear legs. Thanks to the generosity of the FOCAS Angel Fund, her leg was amputated and she's doing very well now. She is a sweet cat, friendly with people and really seems to enjoy the warm cage with a soft bed at the shelter. Ruby has a mostly white body and colored tail. Bergen County Animal Shelter

Pauro, this lovable Beagle came to the shelter because his owner could no longer care for him. He is quite the charmer and should soon find a family who will offer him all things necessary for a Beagle, including love and affection. Typical of his breed, he will need plenty of physical and mental stimulation, and what better way to provide him with that, than with longs walks, hikes, runs etc. Basic obedience is another great way to exercise his mind and wear him out by the end of the day. Because he is such a loving pooch, continued socialization will be a must so he doesn't lose this sweet quality.
A victim of the economy, Ethel Mertz came to the shelter when her owner lost her job and had to move. Ethel is four years old, declawed on all four paws, and her owner reports she uses her litter box and is OK with other cats.
Guacamole is a one year old male guinea pig, turned in when his young owner lost interest. The shelter found him to be friendly and OK with handling.
Horatio, a 2-year old Retriever mix, came to the shelter as a stray and has definitely made improvements since his stay. Although he is fearful during the first introduction, he does show signs of bonding. Adopters will have to be patient with this sweetheart and give him time to adjust to his new home. Walks and hand feeding are excellent ways to help in the bonding process. Horatio will turn around before you know it and you will not regret the day you took him home. Playing fetch with him will surely give you some brownie points for sure and there is no better way to get into his heart than to play a few games of ball.

I tried to point that out. They deleted my comment. They'll try to delete yours too, I'm sure.
