Maybe it was cancelled because the show is retarded. It hasn't been (ever so slightly) entertaining since the first season. Now they all think they're too cool. The Situation is an obvious drug addict, JWoww had some major plastic surgery (not for the better in my opinion), Vinny had a nervous breakdown; I mean cmon, what a bunch of losers. Nobody on the show is attractive or funny. Does anybody really still watch it?

The worst part of the show embarassing NJ is the fact that the cast is from NY! They have one girl from NJ and every out of state retard thinks that's what NJ is really like! They made money off getting drunk and acting like retards, getting arrested, and into fights when there are unemployed people out there who unfairly lost their jobs and can't make a dime in today's economy. Bad.

Never watched..probably never will...but what is it they say...any publicity is good publicity....they only beach I will go to is IBSP..and I always stop at Seaside on the way home...and here's a tip...the AC Boarwalk is a disgusting dump...compared to Seaside...why are there no cops in AC?

Every now and then when surfing channels I happened on Jersey Shore so checked it our for a ccouple of minutes. This would be just enough to develop the opinion that the program gives a horrible image of New Jersey, the state that is home to so many greats of the world past and present such as Thomas Edison and Albert Einstein just to name two.

Damn. What was MTV thinking, canceling such riveting and quality programming?

Hey, if you want to know why our country is going to hell in a handbasket, keep watching that so-called "reality" garbage. Forget about 15 minutes of fame, these people shouldn't even have 15 seconds.

The wierd thing is, I've been to Seaside for day trips lately, and I actually had a nice time. Typical Boardwalk games and food, Nice beach. Maybe it gets bad at night.

I did not appreciate the comment O'Reilly made in regards to the Italians. First of all they are not all Italian. Also I am a proud American Italian, I have traveled to Italy, The kids don't act like this. Not even the Italians wanted the Jersey shore crew in Italy. The Europeans think it is awful how Americans would even show something like this on TV.

Sorry but I'll miss Snookie. I can't see why people say they were crazy. Look around you. Were u a saint? Your children? Next generation? It's bad all over. Every where u look under age drinking,beer pong, liquor stores selling to under age children. So weather is Jersey Shore or Laguna beach all u c is "Trash". let me make something clear I went to Seasise one x last summer and never again. No classy, clean hotels by the beach, Seaside is a dirty place to visit. So it's not just "The Jersey Shore" that made it look bad. In general its a trashy place to visit.

Sure it was not a show I wanted my children to see but regardless ,where there's a will there's a way, teenagers were home by 10:00pm every thursday. Do u know where ur children at? It's 10:00pm go look in their room and you will find them glu to "The Jersey Shore".

I wouldn't let my child see a program like that but a 17 year old would wait till that parent is asleep and be glue to the tv watching The Jersey Shore" so it's not about good parenting. Its the sneaky ways teenagers go about it.

While you might be glad to see JS end, there's always other shows that have just as much trash talk and disrespect for those who get their entertainment that way. Example, MTV's Parental Control, not exactly the role model to show how teens should show respect toward adults.

My daughter is a 19 years old graduated from a parochial high school, now in sep 2012 will be a junior at a Private University. A future Attorney. Very good parenting, curfew till today 9pm, weekends 12am and not a minute longer. And there was not a single Thursday that she missed " The Jersey Shore" . That didn't make her do the things those girls did drinking and fighting. I'm a very proud mother. Have an Honor roll student, it's up to the individual to be an example to society. We are a proud Italian famiily.

Vanessa, when people who do not live in the Tri-State area (say the Mid-West and South-East see shows like "The Jersey Shore" and "The Real Housewives of NJ" and "The Soprano's" what impression do you think that they get of Americans of Italian descent. By the way, I am an American of Italian descent and frankly I am embarrassed to see Americans of Italian descent making fools of themselves on these shows and giving us a bad name.

Nice to see all the negative comments about NJ women....If you are commenting on the FL Patch than I'm pretty sure you've spent time with a Jersey woman at some point. We aren't all bad. As for not likening the NJ reality shows....I agree with diamond...change the channel. No one is making you watch the show.

Never watch one second of ANY of the (lack of anything even near) "reality" shows / garbage --- I guess all those wonderfully talented young men and women can now go back to their former careers as --- (you fill in the blanks -- some have already done a pretty good job of it !!) --- and, just think of all the extra time they will have at their disposal (actually, "their disposal" is a great thing for NJ !!), since they no longer have to stage all that outrageous, publicity-seeking behavior off the set.

All of ya should just stay quite, you are all reason why the cast in where there at now.. HIGH TV RATINGS make there pockets fill up with money and open opurtunities for better things for them to do.. Crazy how you can judge someone by the opurtinitie they were offered.. Every Italian (male) on the show was a criminal. Most ran around on their wives or primary girlfiends. Some were alcoholics and / or drug addicts. You tell me if Italians were trashed or not.

I liked it because it was everything you all say it was. . it was fun, silly and just darn dumb--but it did show how the summers at the Jersey Shore are more magical than anywhere else in the country. . and for that we are really the Thunder Road.
