Spooner, 7-years-old, was given up because his owners were moving and couldn't take him along. He is not used to being kenneled so he is becoming pretty stressed out at the shelter and the staff hopes to find him a home ASAP. At 7 years, he still has a lot of love to give and a deserving family he wants to give it to. Still active and ready to go, he'd make a great exercise partner for an active household. Physical and mental stimulation will be huge requirements for this lively dude.
Typical pug, Sugar Bear has the personality and the charm. Sweet and very loveable, this 5-year-old would make a perfect companion for first time dog owners. He was as a stray. Happy and social, he is eager to meet new people and explore new places. This attention seeking pooch will definitely be the life of the party. Due to his breed requirements, Sugar Bear will need to go to an air conditioned household who understands his physical needs. Long walks and hot days can cause a pug overheat, so we obviously want to look out for his best interest. Walks around the neighborhood will be great exercise and mental stimulation for this chubby checker.
Loving and quite the calm pooch, CoCo came to the shelter because his owners didn't have enough time for him. The shelter staff hopes his next family will do anything in their power to make time for this sweetheart. After his day at Pet Spa in Little Ferry, he looks, smells and seems to feel awesome. He is a brand new dog and is ready to explore the world. Active and lively, he will need plenty of physical and mental stimulation. Walks are a great way to release that energy and also help in the bonding process. At 3 years old, this cutie is a fantastic dog and would make a wonderful companion for first time dog owners.
Donnie was raised in foster care by one our the shelter’s vet techs. She is a sweet kitten that is ok with smaller dogs. Donnie can be shy at first, but she has a lot of energy and loves to play.
