County Shelter Seeks Home for Senior Cat

Meet Poppy a gentle senior cat who needs a home, and his other friends at the Bergen County Animal Shelter.

Poppy is a very gentle large, senior domestic short hair cat. He is front declawed and really enjoys being brushed and pet. Poppy is a very mellow cat and it’s believed he will do okay with other calm cats. Bergen County Animal Shelter

Copter is full of energy and life. Confused at the shelter but the hope is that with more human interaction and walks with the volunteers he will come out of his shell. He does show signs of bonding and clearly likes human affection, therefore, he will hopefully realize the benefits of being socialized. Because he can be easily distracted and hasn't quite built a relationship with anyone, it’s recommend adopters allow him to adjust to his new environment before introducing him to different people and places. Happy and full of life, Cutty is one energetic youngster. At 2-years-old, this handsome fella is already becoming a volunteer favorite. Unfortunately, he came to the shelter as a stray and not much is known of his history but so far, he's been a doll. Cutty will be a great companion for an active family who will guarantee he receives plenty of physical and mental stimulation. Social as can be, this butterfly will greet just about anyone and anything. Because he is eager to meet new people, we highly suggest adopters to continue well mannered socialization, i.e. no jumping or being mouthy. Credit Bergen County Animal Shelter
Bigs is a very sweet girl. She is about 9 years old and came to the shelter with her sister Little. Little was already adopted and now we are hoping to find Bigs a home too. Bigs gets along great with other cats and is a very sweet cat with a BIG heart. Credit Bergen County Animal Shelter
Judy Blume is a sweet cat. She came to the shelter with another cat, so we know she gets along well with other cats. Judy Blume is about 3 to 4 years old. Credit Bergen County Animal Shelter
